What we’re looking for
As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the virtual and physical network layers and also provide technical support and expertise on administrated shared systems. The network environments managed by our team are including switches and routers, mostly from Juniper, Cisco, Arista, HP Dell , NOKIA and VMWare network managed through v Cloud Director, SDN controller (Juniper Contrail), firewalls like Juniper SRX and load balancers like Nginx and F5 Big IP.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage the lifecycle of existing network service located in different European and African countries;
- Perform troubleshooting activities, interact with ticketing tools and assure a good communication towards our customers;
- Automate tasks and come up with improvements to increase our efficiency;
- Performing activities like patching and upgrading different network components;
- Deploy and configure network devices after wiring is complete;
- Installing and configure OS and different tools needed during operations.
- Assuring knowledge sharing inside the team;
- Collaborate with System, and Application internal support teams, but also with people from other Orange Group entities;
- Perform on-call activities.
What you need to know/have
- Proven Experience in IT Network operations;
- Basic knowledge of Linux;
- Solid knowledge of virtualization technologies, VMWARE, Openstack and optionally technologies like KVM, XEN or Open VZ;
- Good knowledge of Secured network architecture (DMZ, logic security);
- A least one solid knowledge on one of these area (and a general knowledge of all): Firewalling administration (Juniper SRX and Fortinet Fortigate) optionally open source firewall (iptables and packet filter);
- Load-balancer.
