Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with a focus on Quality Assurance to ensure the highest standards of software products, specifically Revit add-ons. This role involves software testing, specification writing, and user interface evaluation, with a strong emphasis on identifying and resolving issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Software Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Conduct manual and automated tests on Revit add-on software, identifying and reporting defects.
- Define test cases, develop testing environments, and execute tests based on predefined scenarios.
- Analyze test results to provide insights into product quality and suggest improvements.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other engineers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Coordinate with team members to optimize designs, resolve technical issues, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
- Address critical issues affecting project quality and ensure the proper localization of software.
- Follow up on reported issues to guarantee their resolution across all relevant scenarios.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Document test results, implementation behaviors, and software performance clearly and accurately.
- Create and maintain technical articles, user manuals, and specifications to aid users in understanding software capabilities and workflows.
Key Metrics:

Development Roadmap Validation:
- Ensure all requirements in the development roadmap are covered by corresponding tests.

Automation Testing:
- Implement and maintain automated tests in line with the development roadmap.

Stakeholder Satisfaction:
- Achieve positive feedback from stakeholders, focusing on communication, support, and the quality of documentation.

Documentation Quality:
- Produce clear, high-quality documentation to minimize rework and ensure alignment with user and team needs.
Responsibilities:

Essential:
- Experience in drafting within the construction, architectural, or engineering industries.
- Proficiency with Autodesk software, including Revit, BIM360, and Navisworks.
- Basic understanding of construction methods and documentation.
- Experience in executing manual tests to ensure software quality and identify defects.
- Knowledge of BIM processes.

Preferred:
- Experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Experience in light steel or wood framing design and offsite construction design.
- Previous experience working in a software company.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
