Your job in a nutshell:

The Technical Application Engineer will be working with a global team of individuals in supporting many large Middleware environments, providing Level 2-3 Operational support for Applications running on Microsoft or Linux operating systems.
Also, he/she will provide technical analysis and design consulting support for major business applications and will be able to manage project and task deliverable commitments, system changes and application rollouts/upgrades.

What will you be doing:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant, hands-on Microsoft and Linux Operating System experience in a large enterprise (datacenter) environment.
• Strong experience with IIS, Apache Tomcat, Web methods, etc.
• Good understanding of workload automation applications (Control-M, $Universe, UC4, etc)
• Design, implement, and maintain reliable systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability of applications.
• Set up and manage monitoring systems to detect anomalies and respond to incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Automate manual processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline operations using Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) tools.
• Analyze system performance and usage trends to forecast future capacity needs, ensuring systems can scale effectively.
• Identify bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure and implement optimizations to enhance performance and reliability.
• Work closely with development teams to improve system design and deployment processes, ensuring reliability is built into the software lifecycle.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and incident response procedures.
• Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and audits.
• Participate in blameless postmortems to drive continuous improvement and implement lessons learned.

Requirements:

• University degree with background in IT area.
• Professional experience in IT: at least 3-year experience.
• Social Skills.
• Very good communication abilities.
• Team spirit.
• Proactive and flexible.
• Customer oriented.
• Foreign Languages: Fluent in English and French
