Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, the Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure completeness and accuracy.

2. Tax Management:

• Tax Reporting & Calculation: Review monthly and quarterly reports to ensure the correct VAT and Withholding Tax amounts are calculated and submitted on time.
• Tax Compliance & Filings: Ensure the company stays compliant with tax regulations and manage the accurate filing of VAT, WHT, and other required filings.

3. Month-end Close:

• Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end close procedures.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.

4. Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making processes.

5. Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

6. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, and customer payments.

7. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support the Financial Manager in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to assist in strategic planning.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and insights.
• Communicate effectively with team members to address financial queries.
• Assist the Financial Manager in variety of other management tasks as available.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or similar ACCA certifications.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail as well as organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal English and Arabic communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
