Job Overview
We are seeking a junior Electronics and Io T Engineer who is passionate about designing and developing cutting-edge Io T solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering, a deep understanding of Io T technologies and a proven track record of designing, developing and implementing complex, multi-functional Io T solutions. As junior Electronics and Io T Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of electronics and Io T development from ideation to delivery, ensuring the solutions are effective and efficient. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and firmware engineers to ensure seamless architecture and integration of solutions for customers. And you should also help with the maintenance of the devices. It will be a plus for you to have the ability to perform periodic maintenance and solve technical problems where the product is installed. Work location: KAUST Research and Technology Park, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.
Transportation: Daily shuttles between Jeddah and KAUST are available.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Design and development of advanced electronics hardware and firmware for Io T products and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and design architecture for Io T solutions.
- Design and implement embedded systems software and perform validation testing for electronics components and systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of electronics components and systems.
- Develop and document technical specifications, user manuals, and other relevant documentation for Io T products.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, components, and protocols for integration into Io T systems.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure successful integration and deployment of Io T solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during the development and deployment stages.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and engineering best practices.

- Keeping track, number of the components and availability of the necessary components for the circuits in inventory.
- Inventory tracking of parts required for maintenance. Collaborate with production operators to identify and address technical issues that arise during manufacturing processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address underlying production issues.
- Assist in the production, setup and calibration of equipment as needed.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
Requirements and skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics engineering or Io T-related roles, with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Strong expertise in electronics design, circuit analysis, and systems integration.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.
- Extensive experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming.
- In-depth knowledge of Io T communication protocols such as MQTT, Zigbee, or Bluetooth.
- Proven experience with PCB design tools and layout (Eagle, Altium, etc.), including high-speed design considerations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts t both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electronics manufacturing and product certification.
- Experience with soldering, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for prototyping and fabrication.
