1. Recruitment and Staffing
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies.
- Oversee the hiring process, from job posting to onboarding.
- Manage Saudization (Nitaqat) quotas and ensure compliance with government regulations regarding local hiring.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries, issues, and grievances.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage employee engagement.
- Resolve disputes and conflicts while maintaining legal compliance.
- Ensure that company policies comply with Saudi Labor Law.
- Manage employment contracts, working hours, leave entitlements, and compensation in line with local legal requirements.
- Handle issues like termination, end-of-service benefits (ESB), and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement performance evaluation programs.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding performance improvement and career development.
- Set up KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and monitor employee productivity.
- Oversee payroll management, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
- Design and manage employee benefits programs, such as medical insurance and other allowances.
- Conduct salary benchmarking to maintain competitive compensation structures.
- Assess training needs and coordinate internal and external training programs.
- Promote continuous professional development in line with company objectives.
- Implement talent development and succession planning strategies.
- Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring they are up to date and comply with privacy regulations.
- Manage the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and streamline HR processes.
- Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure all staff understand and follow company policies, including attendance, leave, and safety protocols.
- Promote health and safety standards within the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and manage the company’s safety programs.
- Promote cultural sensitivity and create inclusive HR practices that respect both local customs and the diverse expatriate workforce.
1. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field: A degree in a relevant field is typically the minimum educational requirement.
- Master’s Degree (Preferred but not always necessary): Some employers prefer candidates with an MBA or a Master’s in Human Resources Management for senior roles.
- HR Certification (Preferred):
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional/Senior Certified Professional)
- CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development)
- CHRM (Certified Human Resource Manager)
3. Skills and Competencies
4. Knowledge of Saudi Labor Laws
- Thorough knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, employee rights, visa regulations, and the Nitaqat program.
- Familiarity with GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance), end-of-service benefits, and regulations specific to expatriate employees.
