Offshore HSE Supervisor

Responsibilities of the Offshore HSE Supervisor:

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a safe working environment for all offshore operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company safety management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and hazard identification (HAZID) to evaluate and mitigate risks associated with offshore operations.
• Lead incident investigations, report findings, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Oversee emergency response plans and ensure all personnel are trained and equipped to handle emergency situations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and drills to maintain safety standards.
• Provide safety training to offshore personnel, including H2S awareness, confined space entry, hazardous communication (HAZCOM), and BLS first aid.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety regulations on site.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and HSE meetings, fostering a strong culture amongst the workforce.
• Ensure compliance with international safety standards, including OSHA and OPITO-approved BOSIET/TBOSIET and H2S certifications.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and records, including permits, audits, incident reports, and training logs.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and company management to ensure alignment on HSE objectives and reporting requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving HSE regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field – Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering etc.
• Must hold NEBOSH IGC certification or any other valid safety certification.
• Professional membership in one of the following; ASP, CSP, CRSP, CMIOSH, NCSO, MIIRSM.
• Minimum of 7 years of safety experience, specific to offshore or the contract's scope of work.
• Proven expertise in OSHA regulations, incident investigation, risk assessment, and hazard communication.
• Certified in BLS first aid (Saudi or American Heart Association), H2S awareness, and confined space entry.
• Familiar with emergency response procedures and offshore safety training requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisation skills.
• Able to work in a high-risk, fast-paced offshore environment.
