Position Objectives:
The Strategic Concept Design Planning Architect will lead the development of efficient, high-level concept designs that transform user requirements into practical, modular, and scalable design solutions, this role ensures that all designs align with operational efficiency, user needs, and cost-effectiveness while supporting seamless transitions to detailed design and tendering phases.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
Lead the creation of high-level concept designs that reflect end-user requirements, operational workflows, and sustainability principles.
Ensure designs are modular and scalable to accommodate future expansions and evolving operational needs.
Collaborate closely with the Strategic Facility, Workplace & Construction Planning Consultant and other stakeholders to gather, understand, and integrate comprehensive facility and workplace requirements.
Align concept designs with regulatory standards, building codes, and facility management best practices.
Develop standardized design specifications, BOQs, and pricing models to streamline the tendering process and support fair, optimized pricing.
Ensure concept designs enable a smooth handover to the Design Office for detailed design development.
Oversee the conversion of concept designs into detailed design documents, ensuring consistency with initial specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with the Design Manager and design teams to maintain design intent through the development process.
Apply lean design principles to enhance space utilization and efficiency while reducing resource waste.
Validate designs for functionality, ensuring that completed facilities meet user needs and strategic goals.
Stay current with industry best practices, design innovations, and emerging technologies to incorporate into strategic concept planning.
Contribute to the development and implementation of design guidelines and specifications.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design with significant experience in concept design and workplace planning for large-scale projects. Proficiency in modular and scalable facility design is essential.
A professional architectural license or equivalent certification is required; LEED or other sustainability-focused certifications are a plus.
Strong design and spatial planning capabilities, excellent communication, project coordination, and a deep understanding of design standardization and cost analysis.
Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, BIM software, and Sketch Up.
Experience with project coordination tools like MS Project and ERP systems.
Familiarity with BOQ preparation software and financial modelling tools for cost analysis.
