Assistant Manager/Manager, Employee Relations & Policy

Job duties and responsibilities
- Conduct and manage fact-finding investigations into workplace misconduct and non-compliance with policy/guidelines and employee grievances.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in proceedings and exercise sound judgment in handling or working with confidential data and situations.
- Provide guidance and advice on employee risk matters, such as managing performance issues, and conflicts using various conflict management techniques, including mediation, coaching, etc.
- Identify and monitor related trends/statistics, provide proactive recommendations to drive and promote positive industrial and employee relations in the organisation.
- Develop, review and update HR policies on a timely basis to ensure they are in compliance with labour laws & aligned with organisational goals
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to lead implementation & communication of policy changes.
- Keep abreast of market trends and changes in employment legislation and provide recommendations to enhance practices/processes in the organisation.
- Develop effective relationships with HR Business Partners, other COEs as well as supporting business units to promote good employee relations across the organization.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
- At least 5 years of experience and proven track record of practical employee relations experience.
- Experience in workplace policy development will be granted favourable consideration.
- Strong knowledge of labout laws and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnership with internal clients and key stakeholders.
- Confident, independent, dynamic, proactive, people and results oriented.
- Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Creative thinker and problem solver with sound judgement.
- Strong team player.
- Adaptable and flexible with high drive & commitment.
