UWCSEA East Campus has a vacancy for AV Technician.
The AV Technician will be responsible for supporting the execution of all audiovisual (AV) and technical requirements for College events, classroom activities, and other related functions. This role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the AV Technician will maintain and ensure that all AV equipment is clean, operational, and well-maintained. The individual will also collaborate with the Facilities team to assist in managing Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems alongside AV systems. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and quality assurance standards is critical to this position. The AV Technician may also be assigned additional tasks of similar responsibility and complexity as required by the College or the line manager.
Main Responsibilities

Assist in executing AV and technical requirements for College and classroom events.
Set up, operate and troubleshoot all AV, projection, lighting and conferencing equipments, devices and systems.
Ensure all audio visual equipments are operational , clean, well kept and maintained
Assist the Facilities team in operating M&E and AV systems
To adhere to Standard Operating Procedures / guidelines and comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the College.

Person Specifications

Certification or Diploma in Audio-Visual, Information Technology or Engineering in the Electronics or Electrical fields.
Minimum 2 years experience supporting events and AV teams.
Scissor Lift licence or Work at Height certifications will be preferred to confidently operate Scissors and Vertical-mast lift equipments safely.
Basic working knowledge of electrical practice and theory.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
