Job Description Summary

He/she will be responsible for developing Android applications for embedded systems. He/she needs to have a deep understanding of both Android development and Android-based embedded systems to integrate the developed Android application with different Android versions on different Android-based embedded systems.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Design and develop applications and test applications for embedded devices, focusing on Android and/or Linux platforms.
• Support, bug fixing and enhancing existing Android applications
• Testing of hardware and developing on different types of embedded devices
• Provide phone support or site support to existing projects on site
• Discover, evaluate and implement new technologies that are in the market
• Collaborate with team members to identify issues and improve on the Android applications

Required Qualifications & Experience

• At least 2 years of working experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or any other related fields
• Experience in development on embedded devices running Android and/or Linux platform
• Experience in working with serial port standard like RS422 and RS485
• Experience in working in one or more standard interfaces like SPI, I2C, JTAG
• Experience in working with Android Studio
• Programming skills required: Java and/or Kotlin
• Able to understand schematic diagram
• Able to use the electronic instrument like oscilloscope and protocol analyzer for bug fixing and tracing issues
• Experience in using logcat and Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and knowledge in ADB commands and at least minor Linux commands for troubleshooting purposes
• A team player and problem solver
• Good to have:
  
  • C/C++ programming skills
  • Experience in working with Visual Studio
  • Experience in working with RTOS OS
  • Experience in working with ISO7816 and ISO14443 smartcard standard
