We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Analyst with expertise in Forensic Accounting to join a prominent global investment fund. In this role, you will investigate companies’ financial practices to identify potential red flags and assess risks that may be overlooked by the market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep financial analysis and uncovering insights that drive impactful investment decisions. The role will be based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous forensic accounting reviews of listed companies to identify discrepancies or red flags.
• Analyse various financial documents, including company filings, earnings reports, and public presentations.
• Collaborate with a team of analysts to generate short investment ideas through in-depth accounting insights.
• Directly engage with companies to discuss and clarify complex accounting practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Genuine interest in forensic accounting and short-sell strategies.
• Strong skills in analysing financial statements, accounting standards, and reporting practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline.
• Chartered Accountant certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an asset.
• 2-7 years of experience in equity research or similar field with an accounting focus.
