What the day will look like
Reporting to Head of Department, job scope includes but is not limited to the following:
- Play a key part in delivering team New Business budget
- Achieve team goals of growth, profitability & increasing market share
- Supervisory responsibilities for the junior team member(s) in business development; improving performances and development, mentoring, training, feedback and setting clear expectations and standards
- Develop and maintain own leads and opportunities; penetrate existing business; cross sell within Aon
- Facilitate smooth handover of Closed Won business to account managers
- Identify and implement Singapore sales strategies, initiatives & events in liaison with Head of Dept, Team Sales & Marketing Head, Regional Business Development Director, Singapore Business Sales & marketing team and/or others as required
- Advise and negotiate with clients, underwriters and stakeholders
- Know, understand and accurately utilize the products and insurers available in the market
- Active involvement in product development
- Help identify, develop and implement efficient team operational sales & marketing processes
- Accurate & timely maintenance of systems, billings and data entry; reporting & forecasting
- Support senior team members as required
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree
- General Insurance academic qualifications, ACII would be advantageous
- At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5 of which in the Singapore insurance industry
- Independent, proactive, efficient
- Meticulous and able to multi-task
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Pleasant and positive personality, adaptable to changes
