Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in various financial functions and exposure to real-world financial practice. The role will support the team and will assist in maintaining and developing the function’s capabilities and skills to meet ongoing business growth, needs and plans.
- Work closely with Business and Operations to execute end-to-end reconciliations for accurate financial, regulatory, tax and management reporting purposes.
- Support the Finance team in executing established financial controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the group’s financials by performing Month End financial closing activities, including Journal Postings, Account reconciliations, Balance Sheet Substantiation and Analysis and Month End cut off control checks.
- Assist with the documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and create flowcharts to visualize processes.
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of Finance processes through automation of workflow via python.
- Support the team in any related tasks or projects.
- Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly motivated, independent individual who take ownership of tasks assigned
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with Python and Microsoft Office packages such as Excel and Word
- Proficiency in SQL is a plus
