KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for Glencore’s global ETRM applications, supporting front, mid and back office users.
• Operate as part of a global IT support team.
• Provide primary link between local and global business users and IT.
• Identify problem areas, perform analysis and resolve, or escalate if required.
• Provide system and incident management and control.
• Support IT development teams to implement business process or system changes.
• Contribute to development and implementation of software or infrastructure projects.
• Facilitate integration testing, user acceptance and sign-off of system upgrades or enhancements.
• Provide user training as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum:

• Degree holder: Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics degrees or equivalent, mathematical fluency required.
• Previous application support experience is mandatory, preferably in commodity trading environment.
• Knowledge of SQL (Sybase, Oracle and/or MS SQL Server) would be a significant advantage.

Preferred:

• Coding skills in Python programming or Excel VBA macros.
• Experience in working on multi-national/multi-site projects.
• Knowledge on Zema, Triple Point trading systems and SAP Business Objects.
