Laboratory Operations Manager

Responsibilities
- Laboratory Setup: Oversee the planning, design, and construction of new laboratory facilities. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that the laboratory meets all regulatory requirements and scientific needs.
- Equipment Procurement: Select and purchase laboratory equipment, ensuring that it is appropriate for the research being conducted and meets all safety standards.
- Safety Management: Develop and implement policies to ensure laboratory safety regulations and standards compliance. Conduct regular audits, manage hazardous waste disposal, and enforce safety protocols.
- Team Management: Recruit and train laboratory staff, address complaints, and resolve conflicts to maintain a positive working environment. Organize training programs to enhance the professional development of the research team.
- Laboratory Operations: Manage daily laboratory functions, including scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage laboratory budgets, including procurement and equipment costs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related fields, with more than 2 years of relevant working experience in a research laboratory setting.
- Proven records in laboratory management and rich experience in project management.
- Other qualifications include a certificate in safety management and a strong knowledge of management policies and laboratory safety regulations in Singapore.
- Possess excellent communication, organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and conflict-resolving skills and team spirit. Able to manage various emergencies in the laboratory.
- Proficient in MS Offices such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Good command of Chinese and Mandarin is a must as the job holder will report to China HQ directly
