[What the role is]
The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes and works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal-related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touch-point on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the first responder for all animal-related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a society, where pet owners, communities, and animals co-exist in our City in Nature.
[What you will be working on]
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Wildlife Trade team under the Wildlife Management Division. You will assist the dog handlers team with their administrative and logistical tasks and to provide care for our dogs.

Your duties will include:

Manage daily administrative tasks and support operational processes e.g. maintaining records, responding to enquiries
Assist to manage the daily care of the dogs and upkeep of the kennels e.g. feeding, walking of dogs
Assist to support the care of other animals e.g. feeding, carrying out checks on animals

[What we are looking for]

Diploma in Life Science, Veterinary Technology / Veterinary Bioscience or any other relevant discipline
Prior working experience in animal-related fields is preferred e.g. working in an animal-related organization
Comfortable and competent in providing care for animals, particularly dogs, birds and reptiles
Proficient in Microsoft Office systems, particularly Excel
Willing to work after office hours, on weekends and/or public holidays based on roster
Independent and able to work effectively with others in a team environment
Possess positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills
