Job Responsibilities
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
- Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations.
- Clean and freshen pet hair by washing, shampooing, and conditioning it
- Shave, trim, and style pet hair according to the owner’s preferences
- Maintain overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears
- Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process.
- Keep a clean work station by sanitising and sweeping before the arrival of each new client and at the end of each workday
- Advise owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets
- Mininum 2 years of pet grooming experience
- Graduated from local grooming school or obtained professional certification
- Comfortable working with animals, including anxious, difficult and temperamental ones
- Ability to stand for at least two hours and ability to lift animals that weigh over 25 kg
- Possess positive attitude, Perseverance, Adaptability, Problem-Solving, Work Ethic and Honesty
- Able to treat all pets with compassion
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Comfort working with various breeds of dogs and cats
