Project Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing commercial performance of projects and reporting on same
- Ensuring that correct financial processes, strong controls and good governance are in place as projects progress
- Reconciliation and reporting of third party project costs on a continuous basis
- Completing monthly project cashflow forecasts
- Liaising closely with the Engineering team and addressing commercial issues from a project and risk point of view
- Dealing with a wide range of commercial and financial issues as they arise
- Providing comprehensive, high quality analysis to aid and support business decision makers both at a project and operations level
- Completing monthly reconciliations of specific project accounts
- Working closely with the Accounts Payable and Billing Teams
- Liaising with a variety of other functions, such as HR, Legal and Tax, on resolving project issues as they arise
- Supporting annual and client audit activities
- Performing a variety of other finance ad-hoc duties as required
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA) with 5 years of project finance experience
- Proven track record of providing commercial support to Operations
- Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong business relationships
- Proficiency in SAP accounting software would be an added advantage
