COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The Children and Youth Group (CYG) in The Salvation Army Singapore serves hundreds of vulnerable children and youth yearly. In line with our vision to provide a continuum of care to uplift those in need, our services span from preventive services, foster care and residential services to reunification support services for vulnerable children returning to their natural families after being removed due to safety concerns. DESIGNATION : Social Work Assistant (IPAC)

RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to caring for children and youths, Children and Youth Group - Gracehaven also runs an Interim Placement and Assessment Centre (IPAC) in the residential home. This temporary care environment will allow children under child protection to be in a safe place while assessment into their needs are undertaken to facilitate their placement in the most appropriate care environment.As an Social Work Assistant in IPAC, you shall work hand-in-hand with the Social Workers to care for children and youth at risk.
Job Responsibilities

Follow up on enquiries.
Arrange access/visits for appointments with clients.
Ensure administrative upkeep of documents
Arrange and prepare documents and cases for Review
Follow up on social worker's assessment and investigation
Collate information for Social Worker
Support admission proceedings
Support clients and follow up on enquiries
Report writing and meeting recording
Keep abreast with changes in statutory and centre requirements
Coordinate with care giving professionals.
Undertake any other duties as and when required and in consistent with the position

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma from a recognised institution, Diploma in Social Services preferred

Job Requirements

Keen to work in children and youth sector
A good communicator
Work in collaboration with the team

OTHER INFORMATION
Working Hours
Is a 5-day work week and the total work hours is 44 hours per week.
9 am to 6 pm - Monday to Friday (inclusive 1 hour lunch break)
