Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on Java or AS400 RPGLE server-side coding to build a real-time Payments system
• Full-stack or RPGLE development. Mostly server-side coding using the Spring framework or AS400 SDM with some front-end web development in React JS.
• Peer code review
• Writing automated tests
• Small amount of related system integration and infrastructure work, eg. basic webserver, database, middleware configuration.
• Working in a flexible Agile environment.

Key Requirements:

• Familiarity with working in a full stack capacity within an agile team.
• Note that we are not looking for front-end specialists. However, we are open to server-side specialists who have a basic front-end knowledge and is willing to learn.
• Extensive experience with Java, Java Script (ES6+) and RPGLE.
• Knowledge of Spring framework, AS400 SDM (1+ years & above years of experience)
• RESTful API or RPGLE development, security and testing.
• Knowledge of React JS or another popular JS framework.
• Experience with relational databases, especially Oracle or DB2.
• Comfortable using Maven, Git and Bitbucket.
• Nice-to-have: microservices architecture, bash scripting, or RPGLE.
