About Us:
Handball Federation Singapore (HFS) is the National Sports Association (NSA) for the sport of Handball in Singapore.


We are governed by Sport Singapore (Sport SG) and is a member of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), International Handball Federation (IHF) and Asian Handball Federation (AHF).
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and able individual to lead the High-Performance team. The Head Coach will assume a leadership role to maximise the potential of the National Training Squad and Elite teams. The individual will be accountable for the implementation of robust systems and processes from talent ID through to international tournaments and Major Games, in line with the Handball Federation Singapore (HFS)’s Multi-Year Sports Plan (MYSP).
Position: Temporary National Beach and Indoor (Men’s and Women’s) Handball Coach
Type: (4 months contract)


Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for the national beach handball team.

• Identify and nurture talent through effective coaching techniques.

• Design strategies and tactics to enhance team performance in national and international competitions.

• Collaborate with team management to ensure seamless coordination of all training activities.

• Assess players' strengths and areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback and guidance.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in beach handball coaching.
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a beach handball coach at a national level.

• In-depth knowledge of beach handball rules, tactics, and training methodologies.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate athletes to excel.

• Possess relevant coaching certifications (Level 1 technical certificate equivalent)

• Able to work on weekends.

• Able to conduct workshops.

• Able to do Handball Outreach workshop on any time requested

• Have Handball referee experience
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field (preferred).

• Coaching certification from a recognized sports institution (required).

• Level 2 Handball Technical Coaching Cert equivalent

• Extensive experience (3 years and above) in beach handball coaching.

• Ex national Beach/ Indoor Handball representative
