INTRODUCTION
Komatsu South Africa has an exciting opportunity for Assistant Artisans with at least 2 - 3 years experience in Earthmoving Equipment to join our team at George. Applicants from the immediate area will get first preference.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric/N3 Certificate.
EXPERIENCE:

• 2 - 3 years work experience working on earthing moving machines.
• 6 months general workshop/technical envirnoment experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Remains up-to-date with SHE procedures.
• Required to work overtime and standby from time to time, and must be prepared to travel when needed.
• Assist the artisan in all aspects.
• Disassembles machine/components.
• Checks that equipment/tools are operational and safe.
• Reports defective equipment to artisan.
• Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present.
• Must have some knowledge on basic tools and the purpose of tools used.
• Must be presentable and tidy.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Team player.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Some knowledge of tools and machine repairs.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Have a passion for Heavy Earthmoving Machinery.
