Artisan: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

INTRODUCTION:
Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a qualified Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic to join our team at Germiston. The preferred candidate must have 3 years’ experience in the heavy earthmoving/mining equipment industry and a Trade Certificate as Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic.
QUALIFICATION:

N2/ Grade 12.
Trade Certificate as Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word).
Driver’s License.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Remain up to date with safety procedures.
Takes SHEQ into account in the planning of work output.
Conduct Hazardous identification & Risk Assessment.
Perform HIRA with team members before each task.
Implement the Komatsu Way 5S’s – Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain.
Comply with tooling and vehicle inspections as per standard, applicable policy and or regulation.
Report ALL incidents during the shift to leadership.
Conduct daily, weekly, quarterly, annual inspections.
Reports equipment that is not in good working order.
