Job Description

As an Electrical Supervisor at Eosol Group, you will play a critical role in overseeing our photovoltaic plant operations in South Africa. Your expertise in electrical systems will ensure the smooth functioning of our projects and the adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems in the photovoltaic plant, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Monitor and lead a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance and support to optimize operational efficiency and workflow.
Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including installation records, maintenance logs, and safety reports.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in photovoltaic technology and electrical systems to ensure the team is utilizing best practices.
Engage with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or queries related to electrical operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in supervising electrical systems, with a strong focus on photovoltaic projects.
Proven experience in managing teams and guiding electrical technicians in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices specific to photovoltaic plants.
Proficient in using electrical diagnostic tools and software.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team.
Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages would be an advantage.
