Job Summary:
Maintain and ensure the overall appearance, safety, and upkeep of outdoor and indoor grounds, landscapes, and facilities. Perform various tasks to keep grounds clean, attractive, and well-maintained.
Job Purpose:
Delivering Service to Our Members:

Welcome members with a smile and friendly demeanour.
Respond promptly to member inquiries and concerns.
Offer assistance with parking and provide clear directions.
Foster a positive and helpful attitude, exceeding member expectations.
Direct members to parking bays and assist with parking-related queries.

Outdoor Grounds:

Pruning, planting, and caring for trees, shrubs, and flowers.
Raking leaves, cleaning walkways, and removing debris.

General Maintenance:

Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Inspecting grounds and reporting damage or issues.
Assisting with event setup and teardown.
Collaborating with other departments (e.g., maintenance, facilities).

Safety and Security:

Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Reporting hazards or security concerns.
Maintaining secure storage of equipment and supplies.
Ensure vehicles are safeguarded, report any concerns immediately to management.

Administrative:

Maintaining records of work performed and supplies used.
Participating in training and professional development.
Communicating with supervisors, colleagues, and members.

Work Environment:

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Physical demands: lifting, bending, standing, walking.
Potential exposure to chemicals, pesticides, and allergens.
May require weekend or evening work.

Person Specification:
Essential:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Reliable, punctual, and responsible.

Desirable:

Previous customer service or parking industry experience
Basic knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Ability to handle stressful situations and conflicts
Basic technical skills (e.g., access control)

Qualifications:

Matric or equivalent
Previous experience will be advantageous
