Planet fitness is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reporting Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and supporting decision-making processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial reporting, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Duties / Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly results and provide commentary of monthly variance reporting to Executive and HODs.

Ensure that the monthly and yearly reporting is performed within the required timeframes.

Assist in the analysis and preparation of annual budgets and forecasting of profitability and prepare relevant reporting.

Provide support and information to other functions HODs to manage their departments.

Prepare annual financial statements for group companies and manage process with external audit.

Provide technical expertise in accounting for existing and proposed transactions.

Focus on ways to improve efficiency and reporting to meet stakeholder needs.

Reporting Policy preparation and monitoring including appropriate internal control standards.

Manage and ensure IFRS for SME compliance.

Evaluate, propose and implement reporting improvements and systems.

Ad-hoc projects for to support Executives, Operations and Finance.

Qualifications / Experience:

Matric.

CA (SA) preferred.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management reporting position within a large business.

Excellent and current knowledge of IFRS and modern reporting practice.
