Sales Development Representative

DELIVAST, a South African Delivery-as-a-Service technology and logistics startup company launched in 2021, powers direct online orders for more than 50 restaurants. We are looking for a hardworking, friendly and fast-thinking Sales Development Representative in Cape Town to sign up more restaurants in Cape Town. You will be Sales Hire #1 and crucial to DELIVAST’s growth. There is the potential to grow and lead DELIVAST's Sales Team in Cape Town, Knysna, East London, Joburg, Pretoria, Durban and PE.
Do you want to join us in helping a wide range of merchants across South Africa offer their customers the option to order directly from them via their own websites and mobile apps, for Delivery & Collection, while avoiding paying ridiculous commissions to third party providers and ordering apps?

For example, restaurants and food businesses often have to choose between the steep costs of selling through delivery marketplace apps, and the complexity of setting up and running their own delivery operations.

We are a cash-flow positive and growing technology company on a mission to empower merchants of all sizes to retain their independence and take back control of their deliveries. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a startup in a fast-growth space in a seed stage. We are looking to grow and develop by attracting extraordinary people with outstanding talent.
Requirements
1) Must be currently living in Cape Town and preferably have a car
2) Excellent communicator in English;
3) Access to a functional laptop and internet access on-the-go;
3) Strong people skills;
4) Organization and prioritization skills;
5) Ability to work collaboratively in a team hybrid environment.
We'd love to see:
1) 1 – 2 years of work experience in an sales-related role;
2) A self-starter who can work herself/himself out of problems and situations when guidance and help are not readily available;
3) A flexible and open-minded person. We are a startup and everything will change many times in a span of months. Some things we control and can foresee, others we don't and can't. Being flexible and coping with constant change will be key for you to succeed.
