Knight Piésold Southern Africa is rapidly expanding, and we are currently looking for an Engineering Geologist to join our team in Pretoria.

Minimum Requirements
- Must have a BSc. Honours in Engineering Geology.
- Registration as a Professional (Pr. Sci. Nat.) is a must.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in geotechnical investigations or similar geotechnical projects.
- Must have experience with Rock modelling (ie. RS2 or Plaxis).
- Mining ticket experience is advantageous.
- Geotechnical investigations
- Identification of laboratory testing methods
- Technical report writing
- Client liaison whilst conducting fieldwork.
- Consult geological maps and aerial photographs to advise on site selection.
- Assist with the design of built structures, using specialised computer software or calculations.
- Collate data and produce reports.
- Plan detailed field investigations by drilling and analysing samples of deposits/bedrock.
- Advise on and test a range of construction materials, for example, sand, gravel, bricks and clay.
