Our Electrical Engineering team in Spain sits at the heart of Arup's commitment to sustainable development. We engineer energy-efficient solutions that minimize environmental impact while creating comfortable, healthy, and high-performing spaces. In this team, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across Spain and potentially internationally, collaborating with experts from various disciplines to deliver impactful solutions.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Zaragoza. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from new constructions to renovations, always with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. You will be part of a highly collaborative international team, working on national and international projects and engaging with professionals from around the world.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Zaragoza. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from new constructions to renovations, always with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. You will be part of a highly collaborative international team, working on national and international projects and engaging with professionals from around the world.
As an Electrical Engineer at Arup, you will:
- Participate in the full design and site supervision of electrical and special installations in buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Provide consulting services in the field of sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Prepare calculations, reports, plans, and technical specifications for a variety of national and international projects.
- Select electrical equipment for use in buildings and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers from other disciplines and architects.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings, establishing effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
Does this role inspire you?
We are looking for someone that is eager to get hands-on experience on site. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technologies with a specialty in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Industrial and Automatic Electronic Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on the design of electrical installations.
- Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Bonus points if you bring:
- Specializations in the field of Data Centers, renewables, energy storage, or electric mobility.
- Knowledge of Io T and information technologies.
- Previous experience with Revit, Caneco, DIALux, or Etap.
