Energy Sourcing & Regulatory Affairs Manager - Spain

About the Role
This position supports the strategy for Energy procurement in Spain by sourcing energy for high-consumption sites within the framework of the global energy risk policy. You will manage regulatory issues related to energy consumption in Spain, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.

What you Will Do

• Collaborate with global energy teams to represent Spain.
  
• Support the selection of supply sources, approve purchase orders, and manage invoices, cost projections, and budgets.
  
• Plan and oversee purchasing activities.
  
• Provide specific insights for hedging decisions and represent the company in regulatory forums.
  
• Align Essity’s position with association stances on energy issues and contributing to the Public Affairs Team on energy matters.
  
• Participate in the energy regulatory affairs network, stay updated on Spanish regulations, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  
• Understand market forces, cost trends, and regulatory requirements will be crucial.
  

Who You Are

• University degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or another related field.
  
• 5+ years’ work experience in the paper industry or energy sector.
  
• 3+ years’ experience in functional leadership.
  
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  
• Excellent communication and project management skills
  
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
