EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe's largest network for transport innovation in cities.

Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and liveable urban spaces. We connect public and private actors and provide them with access to markets, talent, finance and knowledge.

Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

About the EIT Urban Mobility Academy

Our Academy is a collaborative arena for lifelong learning, helping to build critical capabilities for innovation and transformation. We are training the next generation of urban mobility practitioners, needed by the urban mobility ecosystem of the future. Within the EIT Urban Mobility Academy, there are four main areas: the Master School, the Doctoral Training Network, the Education Capacity Building and the Competence Hub (Professional School).

The EIT Urban Mobility Academy is led by a small management team consisting of 4 members, the Academy Director, and the heads of the areas Academic programmes (Master and Doctoral), Competence Hub and Education Capacity Building.

About the Internship:

The successful candidate will support the Academy management team with a wide variety of tasks related to daily operation and business analysis. This may include, but is not limited to:

• General administrative tasks and management team meeting planning, including also recruitment related processes and planning
• Financial and business modelling and analysis preparing for and supporting strategic planning and decisions
• Support marketing related analysis and planning
• Monitoring of progress relative the strategic plan
• Tasks may also relate to planned/new strategic initiatives on a pan-European level

In essence, your task is to help the Academy Management Team to do a better job. Manage administrative tasks, and support with planning and analysis to improve the quality of decisions taken. This need is now growing as we need to mature as an organization and a team, moving into the next development phase on the EIT Urban Mobility journey.

What you will bring along the way:

An ideal candidate would strive to generate positive environmental and social impact in line with EIT Urban Mobility’s mission. The candidate will report to the Academy Director, but will be working with supporting the full Academy Management Team. We are looking for an intern with a “can do” attitude, hard-working, committed, who is eager to learn and is willing to take on and deliver any type of task, from quite basic admin tasks to advanced business analysis.

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and Management, or similar
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1)
• Good communication and project management skills
• Motivation to work in fast-moving, innovative, and sometimes ambiguous environments
• Organised and structured, pro-active, hands-on and with “get the job done” attitude

Nice-To-Have:

• Work experience in related areas of activities and level
• International work experience
• Working in an international team
• Knowledge of the mobility sector and/or urban development.
• Fluency in additional EU languages.
