Hastings School aims to provide a high-quality education within a culture of care. Founded in 1971, Hastings School was one of the first in Madrid to deliver the British National Curriculum with English as the primary language of instruction. It is a school that is growing rapidly with a new 21st Century Sixth Form teaching block opened in September 2019 and a new Primary campus in September 2021.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced PE Teacher to join our fantastic team. This is a Maternity Cover position.

About the role
The post holder will teach PE in as effective manner as possible to the range of abilities within our student body and to promote a genuinely positive approach to the subject. You will teach using a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning, meeting the demands of the syllabus and the needs of the students. Provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual or groups of students. Use data, both externally and internally produced, to assess student performance and to develop appropriate courses of action.

Who we are looking for:
To be considered for this role you will be a University graduate and qualified with UK approved PGCE or international equivalent. You should be able to teach up to IGCSE and the ability to coach basketball or dance would be an advantage. We would also expect strong organisational skills, the ability to manage change sensitively and effectively and an instinctive commitment to the safeguarding of young people, and an up-to-date knowledge of child protection procedures.
