What does a SEM/IVVQ Systems Manager do?
This SEM/IVVQ Systems Engineer role performs a subset of all the engineering activities required to develop a solution/system whilst achieving customer satisfaction of the delivered solution/product.
This role requires a Systems Engineer experienced in leading an IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification) team and requirements management. The technologies and main systems are Backbone Network, LAN, Radio, CCTV Systems, Video Analytics, ACS (Access Control System), IDS (Intrusion Detection System), Telephony, Intercom, Public Address and SCADA and OCC integration on the transport domain.
More detailed, the key responsabilities are the following...
- Undertake System Engineering activities in a lead capacity
- Development and implementation of SEM strategy plan across the business
- Ensuring that the System Engineering activities are aligned to the overall Project Plan and are delivered in line with the agreed Project cost, quality and schedule constraints.
- Undertake IVVQM activities in a lead capacity
- Development and implementation of IVVQ strategy across the business
- Ensuring that the IVVQ activities are aligned to the overall Project Plan and are delivered in line with the agreed Project cost, quality and schedule constraints.
- Introduction of new tools and working practices related to IVVQ
- Demonstration that the solution satisfies the overall approved operational needs set out by the customer.
- Support and undertake IVVQ activities.
- Managing and reporting defects identified in a clear and efficient manner.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor of Engineering in Telecom, Electronic, IT Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in engineering analysis, design and testing activities.
- Experience in testing and/or development of large & complex, communications systems.
- Previous experience with working with Requirement, Test and Defect Management Systems (DOORS, JIRA) would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to work in an integrated team environment.
- Experience in new product development environment
- Availability for international travels
- Fluent in English and Spanish (French desirable).
