Mission


Strategic and experienced Sr. Director of Global Supply Strategy that leads our plasma sourcing and supply operations. This role will be critical in ensuring a reliable supply of plasma for our biopharmaceutical products, managing relationships with third-part providers, coordinating global supply logistics, and overseeing regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the plasma market, regulatory affairs, and a strong leadership background to manage a diverse team.


What your responsibilities will be

• Forecast and Planning:
  • Agree with Biopharma Supply Chain contact person the demand. Global yearly budgets and Long Range Plan (LRP).
  • Full accountability on meeting the need of the Total Net Supply of plasma for Grifols usa: global plasma collections budgets, purchasing, 3rd party commitments, rejects and SW.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive forecasts for plasma needs across product lines.
  • Analyze market trends and internal requirements to predict future plasma demand accurately.
• Plasma Sourcing:
  • Coordinate with Controlling, Business Analysis and Operations the yearly budget of liters, grams, etc.
  • Coordinate with Plasma internal teams the collections, purchases and 3rd party commitments
  • Identify and secure different types of plasma to meet organizational needs
  • Manage relationships with third-party plasma suppliers, negotiating purchase/buy agreements to optimize cost and quality.
  • Coordinate certification of third-party plasma suppliers for plasma purchases.
  • Build and maintain a pool of potential partners for buying and selling plasma.
• Contract Review and Management:
  • Review and oversee plasma supply contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure that contract terms are favorable and meet company objectives.
• Coordination of Global Supply:
  • Coordinate with Biopharma Supply Chain the needs of different plasma sources: US Plasma, EU Plasma, Egyptian Plasma, etc.
  • Coordinate the logistics of plasma supply from different sources, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
  • Implement supply chain best practices to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Regulatory Affairs Management:
  • Oversee regulatory affairs related to plasma sourcing, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to stay updated on regulatory changes impacting plasma supply chain operations
• Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals specializing in plasma procurement and logistics.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding plasma supply issues.
  • Provide leadership in cross-functional teams to align plasma supply strategies with overall business objectives.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
• Minimum 10-15 years of proven experience
• Experience as a controller, strategical consulting or supply in roles with a strong analytical component. Understanding of plasma sourcing, regulatory affairs, and global supply chain dynamics will be valuable.
• Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership capability with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Native Spanish and proficient in English
