The Role
We’re looking for an ambitious and savvy self-starter - ideally with a background in media and/or entertainment - who has a passion for film, television and/or games to join our Spain PR team. Based in Madrid, you will report to the PR Director, Spain & Portugal
In this role you will be responsible for devising and delivering high-impact campaigns and strategies that support our brand, and titles across Spain & Portugal.
The ideal candidate will have deep entertainment experience, strong industry relationships, along with a love of great storytelling that also knows how to strategically engage with audiences through publicity, grassroots and event efforts. This is a very hands-on role that requires extensive
knowledge of the press and cultural landscape, a savvy consumer of social media, as well as the ability to be a strong cross functional partner to multiple teams, including publicity peers, marketing and awards.
The role requires a seasoned publicity candidate who is results-oriented, as well as a clear and concise
communicator. They will have experience in communicating with executives, filmmakers, talent, talent
representatives, agencies and production partners. They can anticipate messaging needs, be proactive
and able to meet fast-breaking deadlines. Curiosity, creativity, and risk taking are expected. The ability to manage a budget, as well as operating at scale and able to identify efficiencies while also keeping
standards high are all an integral part of this role.
This publicist will work across the publicity teams, helping to craft campaigns that drive conversations around the Netflix brand, titles, and talent. This includes but is not limited to:

Provide big-picture thinking and leadership to continuously elevate and promote Netflix’s content.

Develop comprehensive campaign strategies to reach a diversity of audiences, and be able to strategically lead and execute those campaigns on our films and series to completion.

Collaborate across departments to accomplish campaign goals.

Strategize and work in partnership on junkets, PA tours, premieres and KOF initiatives

Solutions oriented and an avid problem solver

The confidence to build relationships with journalists and key stakeholders (talent, reps, publicists) - proactively pitching stories across all channels. A deep understanding of the Spanish and Portuguese media landscape is a plus.

A proven track record of managing agency teams and at the same time working cross functional with members of the content, marketing and partnership teams.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, in both Spanish and English, Portuguese a plus.

A love of entertainment and storytelling.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
