Accounting Manager – Swedish Subsidiary - Factory Racing Europe AB (FXR)

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager for the Swedish subsidiary of a North American-based company. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting for the subsidiary, which operates in various European markets. The Accounting Manager will oversee the Swedish accounting system, ensuring alignment and reconciliation with the North American parent company's system. The successful candidate must be well-versed in Swedish financial regulations, and familiar with Swedish and European VAT reporting. The Accounting Manager will also manage Accounts Payable (AP) and assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain the accounting system in Sweden, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reconciliation with the North American accounting system.
Ensure adherence to Swedish VAT regulations and local reporting requirements, keeping up-to-date with any regulatory changes.

Manage VAT reporting and liabilities in wider European market.

Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Lead and coordinate external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
Oversee the AP process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices and maintenance of vendor accounts.
Assist in managing AR processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining customer accounts.
Prepare and present financial reports as needed to the Financial Controller in Canada, providing insights into the subsidiary's financial performance.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Swedish VAT and financial reporting regulations.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closings, as well as external audits.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English is required.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish GAAP.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a global finance team.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
