About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting and Reporting to join our team on a temporary basis, covering a maternity leave from end of January 2025 to preliminary mid March 2026. Based in our Nordics regional office, you will oversee all accounting and reporting functions for our Sweden and Denmark markets. This role reports directly to the Regional Finance Director and works closely with our UK, Ireland, and Group Financial Control teams to ensure that our accounting processes are robust, compliant, and meet both internal and external reporting standards.
Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  

• Oversee all financial reporting, both internal and external, including statutory and governmental reports.
  

• Maintain the integrity of our financial data in accordance with global accounting standards and local statutory requirements.
  

• Manage the general ledger, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP), driving consistency across all AR processes.
  

• Handle monthly postings, including payroll and balance sheet reconciliation, VAT, tax calculations, and reporting.
  

• Monitor cash flow, premises tracking, and forecasting.
  

• Provide financial support for business projects and drive finance initiatives both regionally and globally.
  

Profile:

• Education & Experience: At least 5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or finance, preferably in retail or a multi-site environment.
  

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in accounting, tax, GAAP, and financial analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. SAP and Tagetik experience is desirable.
  

• Language: Fluent in both oral and written English.
