POSITION OVERVIEW
We are now looking for a driven Business Controller to strengthen our team during parental leave for one of the team members. The role is fixed term (approximately one year), based in central Stockholm and the candidate will report directly to the CFO.
The Business Control team consisting of two persons is a vital part of the Tiger of Sweden organisation and its support, insight into profitability drivers and cross-functional collaboration is of great importance to enhance the future financial success of the company.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full P&L responsibility for sales channels from top line and gross margin to OPEX and EBIT.
- Full P&L responsibility for our non-commercial channels and logistics in terms of OPEX and cost control.
- Support and follow up collection pre-order targets as well as weekly and daily management of the replenishment business.
- Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer/Channel managers and be their business sparring partner in the monthly closings as well as budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Develop, manage, and analyse key performance drivers to offer proactive business support and key insights to the sales team.
- Analysis and preparation of monthly reporting to the Board of Directors and Management team.
- Drive the channel budget process from planning, high-level targets to individual budgets per market and collection – linking strategic initiatives to financial effect.
- Provide the sales team with financial understanding and insights to drive and enable data-driven decision making, as well as challenge and validate their business case assumptions.
- Identify, develop, and enhance ways of working, processes and tools in the organization and the Business Control team.
- Building and improving Power BI reports to increase level of self-service throughout the organization.
- Academic degree within a relevant field of study such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar.
- You have 3+ years of experience in Business Controlling.
- Experience of managing several stakeholders simultaneously, preferably within sales and commercial teams, demonstrating the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance teams.
- You have strong analytical skills and business understanding and enjoy influencing and being a part of the company’s development.
- You have a pragmatic mindset when analysing large amounts of data and the ability to effectively communicate findings and root causes to the organisation and management.
- You bring a solution-oriented attitude and a proactive mindset to challenge status quo.
- You possess good knowledge of financial accounting.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to easily understand business systems and tools.
- Previous experience in Power BI is an advantage.
