As the Gaming Manager at Red Bull Sweden, you will be the strategic lead driving our gaming marketing program. Your role is essential in identifying opportunities, delivering exceptional events, and managing key gaming assets such as the Red Bull Gaming Sphere, Red Bull Gibaway, and our talent program, including top-tier organizations and individual athletes.

With a strong focus on strategic thinking and project leadership, you will integrate gaming and esports into our annual market plans and elevate the professional gaming scene while authentically broadening its appeal through events, partnerships, and networks. Achieving groundbreaking results will require close collaboration with various departments to understand local needs and goals, as well as maintaining strong connections with other markets and our headquarters. You will be responsible for the overall management and growth of this program, working closely with the full marketing team.

Job Description

STRATEGY AND PLANNING

• Stay informed on global and local gaming trends, titles, teams, and stakeholders to shape comprehensive marketing strategies.
• Develop a scalable gaming plan, including assets, sponsorships, and network programs to enhance Red Bull's brand within the gaming scene.
• Lead gaming projects locally, ensuring robust project management and strategic planning for both long and short terms.
• Define clear objectives, goals, and KPIs for the gaming and esports program in collaboration with the Country Sports Manager.
• Work with the Red Bull Media Network team to align gaming content objectives and explore new content opportunities.
• Serve as the primary link for the gaming program, ensuring alignment with all stakeholders and partners.

TALENT, EVENT & ACTIVATIONS

• Lead discovery and evaluation of athletes, teams, and esports talent, from top players to promising local talent.
• Negotiate agreements covering performance expectations, content and social media commitments, compensation, branding rights, and schedules.
• Onboard new gaming and esports athletes, providing brand, product, and communications training, and setting performance goals.
• Monitor the gaming and esports athlete roster, providing feedback and guidance for performance improvement.
• Drive innovation in events and projects to keep the brand at the forefront of the gaming landscape.
• Support and monitor activations to ensure premium execution.
• Define and own the overall gaming experience at Red Bull-owned and supported events.

Qualifications

5+ years of marketing experience with strong knowledge in the gaming and esports landscape.
Deep understanding of the competitive gaming landscape, including game titles, esports athletes, teams, events, technology developments, and other stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and collaboration.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to know what needs to be done.
Solid understanding of esports competition and broadcast formats, online platforms, and audiences.
Creative thinker with a proven ability to design and communicate compelling gaming strategies.
Experience with integrated gaming marketing campaigns and activations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Fluent in English. Swedish and additional language skills are an advantage.
