About the organisation
IP Legal has a core role in the development, use and protection of intellectual property rights for the Electrolux Group. The team strives to be true business partners and they work closely with all parts of the Electrolux organization that develops, uses and protects the Group’s intellectual property across the world. By understanding the operations and business drivers, IP Legal takes an active part in achieving the business objectives. It is a global function with a specialist role that sees intellectual property as an important tool to enhance shareholder value.

We are now looking for an experienced technology/IP lawyer to join our IP Legal department as part of Electrolux’ Group Legal Affairs function. You will provide technology-related legal support for Electrolux’ development and other activities around the globe and report to Electrolux’ Head of IP Legal.

A typical day at work
You will work with Senior Group Legal Counsel in the IP Legal team and be part of the center of expertise for technology-related legal advice and support for activities relating to connected and smart appliances and similar technologies. Part of your role will be to advise on, draft and negotiate a wide range of technology-related agreements. You will manage and/or support the development of processes, procedures and guidelines on these issues. You will provide relevant training and knowledge sharing on the legal aspects of these activities, also when it comes to emerging technologies and legislation in this area, to business and other members of the Legal Affairs team. You will also support the Electrolux R&D function generally in drafting and negotiating development, cooperation and related agreements. Part of your role can also be to assist on the technology aspects of M&A or provide general IP-related legal support where required.

Qualifications

• You are an experienced technology lawyer with at least 5 years relevant experience with a solid law-firm background and ideally, experience in a multi-national company
• You have worked in an international environment towards multi-functional teams
• You have solid experience and a very good understanding of technology-related legal matters in a research and development environment
• You have experience of working with general IP-related transactional matters
• Experience in advising on general data protection law is an advantage
• You have a law degree from at least one jurisdiction
• You have to be fluent in English, in both written and verbal form
• The role involves some travel, so you are flexible to travel when required
