Is this you - Verification hourly worker?
Are you a curious person who like to test and question things? Do you have an eye for quality assurance? Then, we are looking for you. We are a team of 10 engineers in Lund who together with our outsourced engineers in China and India are responsible for functional testing of Sony’s Mobile phones. We are now looking for an hourly employee who will work 2 days per week. In this role you will work with both automated and manual testing of Xperia smartphones. You will work together with our core team as well as other hourly employees.
Key responsibilities as Hourly Employee in the Verification team
  • Maintain and execute test cases on Xperia smartphones
  • Help maintain internally developed software tools
  • Support the automated parts of the verification
    • By writing new automated test cases
    • By executing automated test cases
  • Ensure the effectiveness of tests done and issues found and bring about improvements
  • Willingness to learn new areas
Your educational background
  • Ongoing Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science (or equivalent engineering discipline)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
The technical skills you most probably have
  • Software verification experience (from school or side project)
  • Software development competences including
    • SQL knowledge
    • Basic scripting and developing in Java
    • Web design
  • Android Experience
  • Basic knowledge in a Unix/Linux environment
  • A drive to learn more
