In this position, you will play a key role in Roche AB collaboration with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in our top prioritized disease area, ophthalmology.
Healthcare is changing: Novel personalized treatments, increasing patient empowerment, multiple channels of information, lack of resources in healthcare and pressure on public spending are key themes driving the change. As a result, the needs of our stakeholders continue to evolve, which requires that we as a company also evolve. Understanding the key barriers of the patient journey is paramount to ensure our medicines and integrated solutions provide most value to patients and the healthcare system.
As the Patient Journey Partner (PJP), you will be at the center of the Roche organization in Sweden and play an important role in partnering, innovating and implementing sustainable solutions for Healthcare and Roche. By doing so the PJP will be directly accountable to deliver better outcomes for patients, the ecosystem and the organization faster.
As an empowered leader and the external face of Roche, you will collaborate closely with all HCPs directly involved in the patient journey, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and how to create mutual opportunities by utilizing the proper capabilities and showing the value of partnering with Roche.
This role is locally embedded in the ecosystem, it is an integrated role, functionally agnostic (i.e. it does not fit into the traditional concepts of Commercial/Sales or Medical Affairs)
It has no profitability, sales objectives or incentives.
Responsibilities
The PJP is a senior level role within the affiliate, who is accountable for optimizing patient access and demand for Roche disease area solutions through:

Acting as a trusted partner and the primary point of contact (PPOC) between stakeholders and Roche. The PJP shares the patient and stakeholder community needs internally, prioritizes and drives solutions that deliver outcomes faster.

Having an extensive external network across the patient journey, being the trusted partner in the disease area that the external experts regularly want to connect with to be able to execute and take accountability for creating patient access and demand.

Collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external HCPs to remove roadblocks and unlock possibilities to deliver value for patients and the community.

Guiding Roche’s products through their lifecycle and supporting their appropriate use, which includes sharing the value proposition with HCPs in a truthful and balanced manner.

Ensuring great experiences whenever stakeholders in the ecosystem engage with Roche employees, products and services.
Who Are You
You demonstrate personal purpose in improving the patient journey, as well as strong passion to create value and impact on the ecosystem.
You are a true visionary, defining and embedding the strategy around creating better health outcomes for more patients faster, bringing a strong entrepreneurial mentality with outstanding partnering capabilities (coaching, consulting, ability to deeply listen and learn, be curious and agile).
You will be part of the Healthcare Partnering Competence Center at Roche AB in Sweden, reporting to the Healthcare Partnering Leader. You will become part of a highly skilled team consisting of Patient Journey Partners, Scientific Evidence Partners and Patient Partners who every day strive to deliver value to patients and the healthcare system.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
University degree (scientific, pharmacy, business/marketing, MD)
-
Previous working experience in ophthalmology is preferred
-
Established disease area network (e.g. within ophthalmology) and strong stakeholder engagement skills including partnering with HCPs and TAEs is preferred
-
At least 3-5 years of experience in working closely with HCPs as e.g. Key Account Manager, Product Manager, Customer Experience or Omnichannel Manager, MSL or Medical Advisor

LIF certification (acquired through approved MGU or university degree) is required

Fluent written and verbal in Swedish and English

Highly self-managed with strong communicative skills

System thinker and deep listener

Strong passion and capability for creating value and impact in the disease area ecosystem

Experience in collaborating and mobilizing a cross-functional team is required.

Strong business acumen with desired expertise in commercialization, medical and customer experience excellence

Able to understand and leverage digital means and tools is desired

Experience in agile ways of working is desired
