Nitro Capt is offering an exciting internship to enthusiastic candidates to work on the development of our groundbreaking technology.
We are seeking motivated students to join our R&D Department for an internship, an extended industrial placement, or a Master’s project. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on laboratory-based projects and gain industrial experience alongside highly skilled engineers in the field.
Various task scopes are available and will be discussed in collaboration with your academic supervisor in the areas of Product Formulation, including but not limited to:

• Development of low-carbon products
• Research on sustainable materials and ingredients
• Waste conversion and separation
• Characterization of product performance and stability
• Analysis of formulation impacts on environmental sustainability

The position is at the Nitro Capt office at the SLU campus in Uppsala, Sweden.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in laboratory work related to product development.
• Conduct research on suitable materials for developing new products.
• Perform chemical tests and characterize the obtained product samples.
• Execute chemical experiments and evaluate experimental data.
• Contribute to the product development activities in the laboratory, ensuring fundamental chemistry knowledge and basic laboratory skills are applied effectively.

Education/Experience
Expected Coursework Completed

• Studying Bachelors/Masters level education in chemistry/chemical engineering/environmental science/ material science/ green chemistry/sustainability or a related field.
• Fundamental understanding of chemistry, including theoretical knowledge and practical application of laboratory techniques, such as material research, product formulation, neutralization reactions, and product characterization.
• Ability to conduct and follow experimental methods and protocols.
• Passion for laboratory research and willingness to engage in experimental activities.
• Interest in green technologies, waste conversion, green transformation in chemical processes, and new product development.
• Familiarity with analytical and spectral methods, including content determination through titration and data interpretation using instruments is an advantage.
• Experience with R&D related to chemical laboratory experimentation is also welcome. This includes the ability to design, execute and analyze relevant experiments to validate process parameters for design and scale up. Including knowledge of relevant chemical analysis.
• Other industrial experience is a plus but not necessary
