The key objectives of the role are to sell to, maintain and prospect specialty stores and Key Accounts and to support the Sales Manager in the strategic growth of the business.
New Business
- Work with Regional Head of Sales to plan to target of new accounts.
- Visit and assess prospective clients.
- Negotiate floor space and location of product.
- Manage requirements for fixtures and POS.
- Set seasonal purchase levels.
- Where necessary liaise with Store development.
- Initiate new client set up and credit check.
Sales
- Plan market schedules and make and confirm appointments with clients.
- Plan and negotiate purchase levels with client.
- Liaise with client to suggest and increase re-orders.
- Ensure that collection is bought reflecting PRL brand and style values.
- Check orders are entered correctly.
Account Maintenance
- Maintain a sales diary, detailing meetings with each client, including target sales vs actual.
- Visit top 10 accounts at least once a quarter, and telephone at least once a week.
- Visit all other accounts at least twice a year and telephone at least once a month.
- Work with retailer and merchandise coordinator to maximise sell-thru of product.
- Monitor deliveries, providing feedback to clients where necessary.
- Sales training and clinics SP/FA to wholesale-accounts.
Analysis & Reporting

Collect and analyse weekly retail sales information from your clients.
Report findings to Regional Head of Sales and Merchandise Coordinators ensuring that ‘hotspots’ etc. are flagged. - Provide end of season report, detailing overall financial performance, best and worst sellers, summary of reorders, stock levels, deliveries, returns etc.
Relationship building with:
- Merchandise Coordinators.
- Department Managers, Store Managers, Floor Managers, Buyers, Visual display staff.
- Corner Sales teams (both employed by PRL and store).
Motivational and environmental fit criteria
- Strong Influencing skills and supportive attitude required to develop and maintain good relationships with accounts and team members
- Advocate of the brand and product in the market
- Ability to deal with fast paced and changing environments
- Highly organized, detail oriented and accurate
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and support the organization both within the team but also with other RL departments locally and on a European basis Customer service, Finance, Concession business, Marketing, Brand Planning, etc.)
- Strong communication and analytical skills combined with creative and fashion sensibilities
- Negotiation skills
- Customer relationship experience
- Experience within the wholesale business
- Result-driven with a strong sense of business and finding opportunities for growth
- Thinking creatively and acting proactively to identify opportunities that are brand right and benefit the business
- Offering alternative ideas alternative ideas and possible solutions to issues
- Educated to degree level preferred but not required
- Relevant number of years’ experience in Wholesale Sales required with additional experience in Retail fashion environment preferred
- Experience from managing key accounts and leading key account discussions
- Experience from leading sales trainings and presentations
- Computer literate
- Solid experience in a similar role in Wholesale Sales
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Flexible, open minded, positive attitude and a good team player
- Organization skills, capacity to deal with priorities and react to urgencies
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Thorough understanding of Key Performance Indicators
- Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
