Senior specialist, Category Management

As Senior specialist, Category Management you will be part of the Category team in Fazer Sweden’s Commercial unit, while also belonging to the newly established Commercial Excellence team with expertise and strategic sales excellence cross business areas and markets. You will be responsible of gathering, analysing and ensuring usage of customer, shopper and consumer insights, reporting sales development and following up on KPI’s. You will support and work with categories within Business areas of Confectionary (Chocolate, Candy and Biscuits) and Lifestyle Foods (Plant based drinks, Fruit and Cereals) for the Swedish market. Key tasks will include:

• Internal and external reporting

• Superuser for customer insight and POS data platforms

• Customer analytics representative in periodical sales meetings

• Competitor analysis

• Portfolio, novelty, distribution, re-purchase analysis

• White spot analysis

• Promo data analysis and recommendations for joint marketing campaigns

• Space Management – analysis and recommendations for future improvements

• Feeding insights to Group Commercial Organisation

As part of GCO and Category team you will also contribute to:

• Managing Category and shopper projects

• Developing assortment and channel strategies

• Collecting, building and analysing category insights

• Building relationships with key customers, to encourage collaboration and establish a common strategic agenda

• Leveraging market data and provide recommendations on space, range, promotions and pricing

• Monitoring of trends and changes in the market

• Brand / category performance review

This is a permanent fulltime position located in Stockholm, Sweden (hybrid work is possible) in our new Office in Hagastaden. You will report operationally to Category Lead Confectionary, Fazer Sweden and functionally to Sr Manager Sales Excellence and Data Analytics, Commercial Excellence Team.

What you’ll bring to the team
You have at least 3 years of experience from Category Management or market data analysis roles. Data analysis and understanding category drivers is your core competencies, while you are also a reliable and structured project manager and team player. You have strong communication and influencing skills, fluent in Swedish and English. Other Nordic languages are beneficial.
To be successful in the role, we see that you have knowledge and experience from customer POS and shopper-insight data tools. Experience and understanding of assigned categories is an advantage.
