Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The CEO of the Swiss Rugby Union (FSR) is responsible for leading the organization, ensuring its success by prioritizing the growth and development of rugby in Switzerland.
The CEO is in charge of developing a sustainable organizational structure, optimizing resources.
The CEO will ensure that all activities and initiatives of the FSR are aligned with the organization’s vision and strategy, fostering a culture of ethics and integrity at every level.
The CEO will also cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as clubs, regional bodies, sponsors, and the broader rugby community, to secure their engagement and support in achieving the FSR's objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Administration:
- Lead and coordinate the administration and operations of the FSR.
- Manage the human resources (staff, volunteers, commissions), fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a shared commitment to the values of the FSR.
- Implement strategic plans with the Board of Directors.
- Oversee the management of IT solutions, including the website, e-commerce platforms, email and information systems, and social media channels.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and impact of the FSR’s initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability.
Financial and Ethics Management:
- Oversee budget and cashflow planning, management, and control.
- Supervise invoicing, accounting, procurement and tax administration.
- Manage insurance policies and ensure compliance with financial and ethical standards required by funders and financial backers, as well as federal procedures.
Commercial & Events:
- Develop the FSR brand.
- Develop and implement a marketing and communication plan.
- Define and implement a commercial strategy to generate revenues.
Operations:
- Plan and manage national and international events.
- Facility management
Profile:
- Experience working in a cross-functional, multi-stakeholders environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and establish trust, respect, and confidence.
- Integrity and strong leadership abilities.
- Commercial competency, experience in fund-raising, sponsors’ acquisition and marketing
- Languages requirement: English, French and German. Italian is a plus.
- Availability to commit fully to the role.
- Previous experience in rugby or sports is not required.
Position details:
- 80%-100% Position
- Home-office flexibility can be discussed
