At Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS), we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Laboratory Management Team Lead to support our R&D activities. This position will report to the R&D Services Sub-Chapter Lead, in the DIA Standards & Interoperability (DSI) department and will manage a team (approx 10 people).

In this position, you will be a part of a highly impactful local & global team that enables R&D to launch high quality, compliant products by supporting laboratories and equipment for lab users and stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to continually add value to R&D through services, support and quality in alignment with the local networks and chapter areas while fostering individual development throughout the organization.

This role is based in Rotkreuz


THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Lead, support, and foster your team’s growth by offering guidance, promoting continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging professional development, and incorporating strategic priorities in alignment with VACC leadership principles.
  • Oversee laboratory processes and operations, ensuring quality and safety compliance, managing equipment and inventory, supporting audits, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing 24/7 on-call support for R&D lab services.
  • Ensure the maintenance, improvement, and compliance of all team resources, including methodologies, tools, systems, and records, while monitoring the quality of team deliverables in alignment with m QMS standards.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to make informed decisions on assignments, resource allocation, and timelines, fostering knowledge sharing and learning across teams to ensure efficient staffing and resource use.
  • Support and align with Sub-Chapter Leader's strategic initiatives and objectives while identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience with 5+ years of experience in areas directly relevant to Research and Development, laboratory and equipment management. Experience in SAP would be preferential
  • Knowledge of R&D processes and methodologies, including their application.
  • Proven experience in line leadership with a track record of creating and leading diverse teams in a technology-based industry. Capability to lead with creativity, high self-awareness, and act as a coach and mentor.
  • Ability to assess organizational needs, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies for alignment. Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams.Fluent in English (verbal and written) with a high level of German (verbal and written)
