Position Overview

Execution trader on the DB Switzerland FX, Precious Metals and IRS desk

Trader is responsible for executing trades and/or providing advisory market content, as appropriate, in their relevant product/sector/market, in line with the Function’s trading strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Trade & execute FX, Precious Metals and IRS business
  
• Trade booking in Avaloq, Kondor+ and other systems
  
• Middle office functions (P&L tracking, option & SP expiries, solve queries)
  
• Enforce strict pricing rules
  
• Work closely with capital markets sales team and front office colleagues on pricing and executing transactions
  
• Covering Spanish speaking clients and colleagues
  

The role will provide broad spectrum training within FX products and markets and provides FX market knowledge and experience to progress within the DB Switzerland FX business. Scope is covered in responsibilities (above), but the impact is in supporting revenue generation by the DBS Execution desk through the compliant transaction of required internal client FX instructions.

Key Targets & Objectives of Role
Be part of the DB Switzerland FX & IRS Execution team: receiving FX. Precious Metals, IRS trades but also limited orders by phone from internal clients and square the risk and book them in internal and external systems. Perform middle office functions such as option expiries, daily P&L tracking, trade queries etc.

Technical Skills

• Excellent English and Spanish a must, other languages beneficial
  
• Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point / Bloomberg, Kondor+ knowledge beneficial

Essential Expertise

• Banking & trader skills, minimum 1-2 years of trading experience
  
• Experienced with electronic trading platforms
  
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Background on banking operational side
