We are looking for a Accountant, RTR ASIA to join our team. The position is Temporary for one year and will be based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Responsible for company level reporting, according to legal compliance and Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines and requirements.
- Ensuring correctness of company's financial situation, including for example Profit & Loss Statement, Balance sheet and Fixed Assets.
- Performing Record to Report activities and processes on company level in SAP and HFM, participating in development and optimizing related processes, and supporting the businesses in financial processes.
- Contributing to external auditing, internal auditing, and internal control reporting of the company.
- Supporting in implementation of global processes and guidelines, by actively challenging any possible deviations in the process.
- Participating in migrations, validating data and migrating new Wärtsilä companies within the process scope.
- Active co-operation, communication and knowledge sharing with related end-to-end processes and internal and external stakeholders globally.
- Supporting in identifying, evaluating and implementing new and innovative solutions ensuring continuous development, improvement and harmonisation in the RTR processes and tools.
- Ensuring proper and updated documentation of the process flows, worksplits, tasks and agreed guidelines.
- Supporting manager in leading and coaching RTR team to work effectively and in accordance with Wärtsilä and WGBS strategy, vision, mission, and values.
- Accountant tasks requiring expertise knowledge in assigned area.
- Other task related to RTR requested by Line Manager.
- Below tasks for backup of local urgent tax matters:
a. Assist in local tax tasks including VAT, WHT and so on.
b. Support E-invoice issuance check in Taiwan.
c. Ensure proper tax procedures, financial information prepared consistently with high standard in accordance with statutory purpose.
d. Involve ad hoc projects to drive complex change.
You will shine in this role when you have:
- Good understanding for IFRS and local GAAP.
- ERP experience, SAP and Hyperion is a plus.
- Good interpersonal and team working skills. Positive attitude and pro-active thinking, initiative taking, self-going, fast learner and flexible approach.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
- Good understanding of handling import / export documents.
Professional qualification in Accounting:
- 3 years of working experience in financial accounting and taxation in an MNC.
- Qualified auditing experience is a plus.
